Impensive Readers Financial Policies

General

  1. All fees are in Canadian currency.

  2. Tax will be added for Canadians in your local provincial rate.

  3. Tax receipts will be provided upon request.

  4. Because our activities are small affairs, significant complaints about a participant’s behavior, if the Facilitator can identify that a participant is disruptive, or are endangering the safety of the group, they have the right to remove the participant in question without any prior warning.

  5. If a participant is removed, no refund will be issued.

  6. All prices are as they appear, and non-negotiable. At present, tax and processing fees are included. With the exception of spaces that are PWYC, you will not be prompted to purchase or any additional services, or volunteer a tip.

  7. Once payment has been processed you cansider yourself booked for that upcoming session.

  8. All groups are capped at a fixed number of participants. Waitlists are available. Waitlists run on a per-week basis, and reset the day following the most recent session.

After a waitlist is dismantled, it is necessary to go through the booking process again to secure an upcoming spot.

Cancellations

  1. Participants may cancel their registration up to one week before their group is scheduled to meet, and will receive a full refund, minus the processing fee.

  2. In the week leading up to a registered session, cancellations are entitled to credit. That credit can be applied to a future session equal to its full dollar amount.

  3. Credits must be booked within four weeks of being issued.

  4. “No shows” and cancellations received with less than 24 hours notice are not entitled to refund or credit.

  5. Impensive Readers groups thrive because of repeat participation. Supportive relationships tend to develop between regular attendees.  Because of this, honouring the time participants entrust to meeting with the group is essential, and a regular pattern of booking/cancellation will be asked to find an alternate group to attend.

  6. In the unlikely event that your host is required to miss a session with your registered group, you will be notified as soon as possible. You will be given the option to rebook at a later date, or recieve a full refund for the session. Transferrable credit can also be applied to a different group within four weeks.

Technical Difficulties

  1. Should your host’s technology fail for an extended period of time in advance, or during, a group, and the connection cannot be recovered before the seminar portion of the group, Cancellation policy #6 will apply to the situation’s resolution.

  2. In the event of a attendee’s technology failing, an audio-only connection will be available as a backup. Unfortunately, if the participant is unable to take advantage of the backup, it’s not possible to issue refund or credit.

Additional Considerations

Groups outside the scope of Impensive Readers’ weekly groups are subject to separate Terms & Conditions.
